1. This special action report composed of enclosures (A) through (H) has been made as soon as the material could be assembled and air mail copies distributed direct to those officers who need early information on the subject matter covered.

2. The high degree of skill, the unflinching courage, the inspired determination to go down fighting, of the officers and men under my command cannot be too highly praised.
